We had a slight break in the weather yesterday.  It went up to -20, so Keith and I took the kids in to Jasper for the afternoon.  We saw herds of elk and sheep, the occasional coyote and I swear I saw a wolf.  The mountains and trees were breathtaking, all snow covered and frosty.  With the light reflecting off the snowy mountaintops it even stayed light for a while after sunset.  It was beautiful.   Now I remember why I live here.

Song I heard Madi singing today:
In flanders field we lay pa rump a pum pum, in excelsis  deo, pa rump a pum pum
-40 Celsius without the wind chill ( somewhere in the -50 range with the windchill I heard) is just way too cold.  Remind me why we live here again?
