Making chocolates

Karens family came over to my house to make chocolates last week.  The little kids all put their hands in and made a few.  Keith was quality control , Dad did all the slave labour, Karen and I tried to act like we knew what we were doing. Mom was the only one who actually knew.  It was fun and yummy mine are almost all gone- and i can't even blame that all on Cam!

Teaching Kids to be Thankful

Hey, American Thanksgiving is coming up and I've been thinking about how to teach my kids to be thankful. There is lots of good research that shows that focusing on what you're thankful for helps improve mood. The effects can be as strong as an antidepressant medication (with no side effects). Amy keeps a thankfulness journal and we sometimes have a conversation at dinner about "what was the best thing that happened to you today?" I would like to go volunteer at our local foodbank this holiday season but somehow this doesn't really seem enough. What do you do to teach your kids to be thankful (filled with gratitude)? How did you learn to be grateful?

Hey Everyone,
I was finishing my book report and decided to write on the blog. Hopefully I'm talking to the right Davies family or that would be really bad but that's real likely. It's only 12:49 and I'm so bored of watching movies with Alex and doing homework. (Oh yes, to fill you in I'm home sick, AGAIN) How is everyone doing? Good hopefully. Well talk to you soon, maybe.

this is the beginning of a family adventure. Hope you will all contribute. How many of you like computer games?
tell me how often you play them. How much time is acceptable? what game do you like best? Grandpa Davies

I watched a Dr Phil show about some guys who got so engrossed that they quit their jobs and played while their wives went to work. One guy said the characters on the game became his best friends. What do you think? Can it happen?
